About Personal Sky
Personal Sky is a conversational astrology tool built around your actual birth chart and the sky as it is now.
It is designed to sit somewhere between a daily horoscope and professional astrology software: personal enough to speak plainly, but grounded in real chart calculations rather than generic star-sign descriptions.
How it works
Personal Sky calculates your natal chart, current planetary positions, houses, aspects, retrogrades, eclipse history and other relevant patterns.
A separate reasoning layer then identifies the strongest themes and current activations in your chart. The writing system uses those computed facts to produce a clear interpretation and answer your questions.
In other words:
the chart is calculated first; the interpretation is written second.
How AI is used
Personal Sky uses a language model to turn structured astrological analysis into natural conversation.
The model is not asked to invent your chart, guess your planetary positions or improvise from your Sun sign. The underlying chart data, planetary motion and major themes are calculated before the model receives them.
This does not make the interpretation infallible. Astrology is interpretive by nature, and language models can still phrase things imperfectly. Personal Sky should be used as a reflective tool rather than an authority making decisions for you.
What makes it different
Most horoscope apps begin with broad categories.
Personal Sky begins with the specific geometry of your chart.
It can take account of details such as:
- your exact birth time and location
- applying and separating aspects
- natal and current retrogrades
- eclipse births
- chart rulers
- recurring themes across multiple placements
- current transits activating natal patterns
Overview readings are intentionally selective. They focus on a few strong themes rather than cataloguing everything in the chart. You can always ask a more specific follow-up.
A note on birth time
An accurate birth time produces the most complete reading because it determines your Ascendant and house placements.
If your birth time is unknown, Personal Sky can still work with planetary signs and aspects, but some parts of the chart may be unavailable or less precise.
Privacy
Your conversation history is not stored on our servers. Each message is used only to generate that reply.
When you cast a chart, your birth details and calculated chart are saved on our servers so you can return without re-entering them. The same details are also kept in this browser.
If you subscribe to Sky Passport, your chart is linked to your email so you can open it on other devices. We also keep a question count for the free tier and basic anonymous usage data to run the service.
Do not enter information you would not be comfortable sharing with an online service. Personal Sky is not intended for medical, legal, financial or emergency advice.
Sharing a reading
Each reply has a Share reading button. A preview modal shows exactly what will be sent — rewritten in the third person, never your birth data or full chart JSON.
You can email it to a friend, or copy the text to share it yourself.
The separate Copy control (next to your chart info) is for your own backup or debugging — not for posting publicly.
Beta
Personal Sky is currently in beta.
The calculation and interpretation systems are actively being refined, so you may occasionally encounter an error, an awkward interpretation or a temporary service interruption.
